Scooter rental fail
Well that was a bust. The scooter shop required international driver's licenses to rent scooters. You can pay €40 to get an IDL online after a 2 hour wait, or €60 for a 15 minute wait. €180 extortion fee to rent 3 scooters was too much for me and we gave up. But Ana spent the €40 and went through the process to order an IDL. Indeed it came as a PDF to her email in exactly 2 hours. She kindly sent us a copy and I "converted" it into two more IDLs for me and Kathi. What a scam. To top it off, the shop we rented from a few days later in Malcesine didn't care to see our IDLs. Sigh.
